Scar Removal, Laser Scar Removal, & Acne Scar Removal

At the American Institute For Plastic Surgery we offer the most innovative products and treatments for scar improvement. With proper care you can actually improve the final quality of any new scar as well as significantly improve any existing scar. Through our office, we offer prescription products to help you improve your scar such as Scar Fade, a topical silicon scar cream and Mepitac, a Medical scar tape which is applied over the scar, can be worn in the shower and is replaced every three to four days for about 8 weeks.

Older, thick scars are not only unsightly, they can sometimes be painful. We can greatly improve that type of scar as well, with injections, lasers and sometimes removal of the old thick scar.

Often a scar will have lingering redness and brown areas long after it has healed. You may want to consider a few simple treatments of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) to resolve these discolorations.
