Cheek implants are a fantastic way to enhance one’s facial profile. Not only do they improve the overall proportion, they can also make the face appear more symmetrical. Also known as malar augmentation, this treatment can give your face a fuller and more defined look and can produce a more youthful facial profile.

Your surgeon will begin the procedure by making an incision at the top of the upper lip, near the gum line, or on the outer cheek, below the lower eyelid. The implant will then be inserted through the incision in a pocket created by your surgeon. Some cases require the implant to be attached to the bone with a small screw. After placement, the incisions are closed with absorbable sutures.
