Dr. Scott Harris

Dr. Scott W. Harris was born and raised in Dallas. He attended St. Mark’s School of Texas and credits his high school for having taught him how to study and learn. After high school, he went to Texas A&M University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Receiving his medical degree from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, he completed his general surgery training in Phoenix, Arizona and accepted a plastic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine. This plastic surgery program is world renowned, and has graduated many recognized pioneers in the plastic surgery field.

So having completed a General Surgery and Plastic Surgery training, he became Board Certified by the American board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Despite having stayed in school for 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, 5 years of general surgery training and 2 years of plastic surgery training, he decided to do one more year. The goal of this final year was to enhance his surgical skills by accepting a Microvascular Fellowship in Reconstruction at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. The primary areas of focus at this facility were in reconstruction of the face, the breast, and the extremities.

Following Dr. Harris’ exceptional training, he entered private practice in his hometown of Dallas. He specializes in facial cosmetic surgery, breast enhancement, and body contouring. In the beginning of his practice about twenty years ago, he spent a lot of time in the emergency rooms taking care of people with acute injuries, like laceration and hand injuries. Through the years his focus has become cosmetic surgery. Although he has previously been a member of the medical staff at more than 5 hospitals, he now maintains privileges only at the Medial Center of Plano. Within his office, he and his partners enjoy the use of their fully accredited ambulatory surgery center.

Professional medical journals have published Dr. Harris’ articles on such topics as burn reconstruction, microvascular jaw reconstruction and reconstruction of the breast and nose. He has addressed local, state and national meetings on plastic surgery techniques. But more than the academic interests and publicity, he enjoys just taking care of his patients. He loves to see the look on their faces after changing a figure after a breast augmentation or liposuction. He lives for those looks from those whose lives he’s changed.

Thoroughly Impressed

I went to see Dr. Harris for a buttocks augmentation, lip augmentation, and liposuction in the love handles area. I was thoroughly impressed with the job he did and how easy his staff was to get along with. He was extremely courteous and made sure that I was satisfied with everything.
