available medical grade chemical peels:
Melanage Skin Brightening System
The Melanage Skin Brightening System (aka Melanage Peel) is ideal for moderate to severe skin types. This peel is designed to improve the tone, texture, and appearance of the skin. It is also effective in improving fine lines, sun damage, and pigmentation irregularities (i.e. hyperpigmentation). The first stage of the Melanage Peel is a medicated masque, applied by one of our medical aestheticians, but the second stage involves a number of products and is performed at home by the patient.
- Combines vitamin A and Arbutin.
- Because the peel contains no acids it is virtually painless.
- Peeling is moderate, lasting between five to seven days.
- The peel is blended at the time of treatment making it more potent.
- Combines the use of home-care products to extend the benefits of the peel.
- Suitable for all skin types.
Melanage Minipeel Skin Enhancement System
The Melanage Minipeel Skin Enhancement System is ideal for mild to moderate skin conditions. This medical grade chemical peel is designed to improve the tone, texture, and appearance of skin, as well as improve fine lines, sun damage, and irregular pigmentation. The Minipeel is applied by one of our medical aestheticians, but patients are responsible for maintaining an at-home routine which involves the application of home-care products following the removal of the Minipeel.
- Combines Azelaic, Lactic and Phytic acids, all of which are weak, natural acids.
- Results in less redness and less peeling than the Melanage Skin Brightening System.
- Peeling is mild to moderate, lasting between three to five days.
- The peel is typically applied in a series of four to six in-office treatments occurring every two to three weeks.
- Combines the use of home-care products to extend the benefits of the peel.
- Suitable for all skin types.
PCA Pigment Correction Peel
A new innovative chemical peel that is specifically engineered for all skin types to target visible hyperpigmentation (darker areas of skin) including melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and sun damage. Safe for Fitzpatrick skin types I-VI.
PCA Sensi Peel
PCA Sensi Peel is a chemical peel specifically designed for sensitive skin, manufactured by PCA Skin, which uses a gentle 6% TCA solution to improve skin texture, brighten the complexion, and promote an even skin tone, making it suitable for even the most delicate skin types; "PCA" stands for Physicians Care Alliance" which first combined a Jessner’s peel with additional ingredients. Some of these ingredients include salicylic acid, lactic acid, and an antiseptic exfoliant (resorcinol). The treatment melts away dead skin cells and can reduce acne
Key points about PCA Sensi Peel:
- Gentle formulation: Unlike some stronger chemical peels, Sensi Peel is formulated to be mild and well-tolerated by sensitive skin.
- Benefits: It helps to improve surface texture, even out skin tone, and brighten the complexion.
- Who should use it: Individuals with sensitive skin, rosacea, or those new to chemical peels.
- Treatment type: This is an in-office procedure performed by a licensed professional.
