Skin Resurfacing

Conveniently located to serve Dallas-Ft. Worth and Denton County

Skin Resurfacing refers to a number of different treatments that can improve the health and appearance of the skin. Most resurfacing treatments work by removing layers of skin in order for new skin cells and collagen to grow and encourage wrinkles to fill in, age spots and other discolorations to fade, and the skin to tighten.

ProFractional Therapy

ProFractional Therapy, or Fractional Resurfacing, is the most remodeling form of skin resurfacing available. ProFractional Therapy is the premium treatment to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, scars, acne scars, to tighten the skin and to improve the overall appearance of the skin. ProFractional uses a tiny laser beam to treat thousands of pinpoint areas of your skin. Because only fractions of your skin are directly treated with the laser, the surrounding untreated tissue helps promote rapid healing. Over the next several months the skin’s wound healing response creates new collagen which adds firmness and resilience to the skin.

Prior to treatment, the skin is numbed and the procedure takes under an hour. To get the best results, one to four treatments may be required and they are done four to eight weeks apart.

Micro Laser Peel

Micro Laser Peel is a procedure that utilizes a laser to remove the top layer of skin. Removing this top layer gets rid of dead cells in order to smooth the surface of the skin. It also blends skin that has irregular pigmentation with the normal skin. This laser treatment is perfect for improving color, tone and texture of the skin. It can also help to fade mild acne scars.

Micro Laser Peel results in very little redness and swelling after a treatment and healing is quicker, in as little as five days, depending on deep the peel treatment was. After the skin has healed, patients can see some immediate improvement in the tightness and texture of the skin. During the following 6 months, the skin will continue to improve because of the stimulation of collagen growth in the deepest layers of the skin.

Fotofacial

Fotofacial is a quick 30-minute skin resurfacing procedure that can help to get rid of pigmentation issues like age spots from the sun; mild acne scarring; blotchy skin; crow’s feet and wrinkles around the mouth; and many other skin issues. The overall texture of the skin is improved.

Fotofacial is done using a device that penetrates to the deepest layers of the skin with light pulses. The technique removes damaged skin and encourages the growth of new collagen and healthy skin cells. The Fotofacial device is computer-controlled so that different levels of skin penetration can be achieved.
